First knitted garment

I am attempting to make my first knitted garment. Its a baby hat featured in Let's Knit magazine. I tried to make this a few months ago but made a mistake when it came to the k1 p1 stitches, I didn't do a tension square either. I later realised what I was doing wrong, so hopefully this time round I'll be able to make it and I will do a tension square.
